Genton is an Australian architectural firm, established in 2010. The firm has gained recognition for contributions to urban development and architecture in Australia. Genton has studios in Melbourne and Sydney, and operates across various sectors, including commercial, residential, infrastructure, and public spaces.

History

When founded in 2010, Genton focused on a variety of small to mid-scale projects, which allowed the firm to establish a reputation for innovative design solutions. The firm’s portfolio during this period included residential and commercial developments.

In 2016, Genton won the Frankston Station National Design Competition.[1] This project marked the firm’s first major public infrastructure project.

Building on the success of Frankston Station, Genton expanded its operations. The firm gained further recognition in 2019 when it partnered with Moreau Kusunoki to win the international design competition for the Powerhouse Parramatta.[2] This project is noted as Australia's largest cultural infrastructure development since the Sydney Opera House.[3] In 2021, the firm was the recipient of the Prix Versailles Special Prize Exterior Award for their design of Reservoir Station.[4]
