Geoffrey Denton (actor)

A well-known face on British TV (especially ITV) he appeared in many popular series, usually as figures of authority: aristocrats, high-ranking military, company chairmen etc.
Life[edit]
He was born on 8 December 1903 in Lewisham in south London, the son of Herbert Denton and his wife, Amy Ann Croft.[1]
He went into acting after the Second World War. In his peak year of 1961 he was in 6 films in the cinema and in 9 TV series, making him a familiar face to the British public. He retired in 1973 and died on 15 June 1977 aged 73 at Hayling Island off the south coast of England.[2]
