George Artin Tajirian^{[lower-alpha 1]} (Script error: The function "langx" does not exist.; 5 November 1941 – 30 November 2001^[1]) was a former Iraqi cyclist and convicted smuggler. He competed in the individual road race at the 1968 Summer Olympics.^[5]^[6]^[7]^[8]^[9]^[10]^[11]^[12]^[13]^[14]^[15]^[16]^[17]^[4]

Biography

Early life

George Artin Tajirian was born on 5 November 1941 in Baghdad, Iraq.^[2] When he was young, his parents gifted him a bicycle because he was a "destructive youngster", thinking that "it would keep him away from the house where [he] would destroy everything in sight."^[3]
