George E. Doty IV(born March 5, 1958)[1] is an American television writer.
Writing Career[edit]
Doty's first jobs included being a writer's assistant on Seinfeld and General Hospital. Doty obtained his first job as a staff writer and producer on What's New, Scooby-Doo?, while simultaneously attending UCLA to complete his prerequisites for medical school.[2]
He eventually became linked to Dan Schneider in 1998, writing for Schneider's UPN sit-com, Guys Like Us. He than wrote and produced on several other Schneider-created shows at Nickelodeon including Drake & Josh, Zoey 101, iCarly, and Victorious.[3]
Doty was the executive producer for Max & Shred on Nickelodeon. The show lasted two seasons. [4] He subsequently created the show, Star Falls, which aired on both Nickelodeon and TeenNick. [5]
