George Douglas Hunter, is a retired lawyer.
Hunter was elected the 59th Treasurer of the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2005.[1]
Hunter was disciplined (60 day suspension and $2,500 cost award) by the Law Society of Upper Canada in 2007 for having a romantic relationship with a client for two and a half years without advising her to get independent legal advice. As such, he had failed "to maintain the integrity of the profession by actin in [a] conflict of interest".[2]
