George E. Walker
George E. Walker (1797 - October 28, 1864) was an American farmer. He was an ancestor of the Bush family.
Early life
Walker was born in New Jersey, the son of slave trader Thomas Walker and Caroline McLelland, who were from Bristol. His father worked on Bunce Island and was killed in a mutiny in 1799.[1]
Career
Walker worked as a farmer. His wealth was valued at $2,000 (equivalent to $Error when using {{Inflation}}: |index=US (parameter 1) not a recognized index. in 2018).[2]
Family
He was the father of David Davis Walker, the grandfather of George Herbert Walker, the great grandfather of Dorothy Walker Bush, the great-great grandfather of George H. W. Bush, and the great-great-great grandfather of George W. Bush, Jeb Bush and Walker Stapleton.[3]
