George Khoury (actor)
George Khoury, and in some listings as Georges Houry (November 23, 1912, in Cairo – April 21, 1983, in Los Angeles, California) was an Egyptian-American actor.
Career
Born in Egypt, Khoury made his acting debut in the United States; his first film appearance was in 1949 in the film Malaya. Khoury's most successful period as an actor was in the 1950s, with appearances in King of the Khyber Rifles, Abbott and Costello Meet the Mummy and in Sabu and the Magic Ring. One of Khoury's most famous roles was that of Verrico in 20 Million Miles to Earth. In addition, Khoury had several appearances on the television series Adventures of Superman. He had a guest appearance on the television series The Case of the Dangerous Robin in 1960, which was his last appearance as an actor. His last feature film appearance was in When the Blood Boils in 1959. He died in California on April 21, 1983, at the age of 70.
