Born on April 21, 1992, George Emmanuel Malki is an American soccer player.
Career
Early career
Born in Chicago, Illinois, Malki began his soccer career in Arizona, playing for the Pinnacle Pioneers at Pinnacle High School. In 2009, he earned the Gatorade Player of the Year award for Arizona. During high school, he maintained a 3.90 GPA and volunteered for Students Supporting Brain Tumor Research (SSBTR).[1][2]
College
Malki attended California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo and was a regular starter for the Cal Poly Mustangs. He scored his first collegiate goal as a junior against Temple University.[1][3]
Professional career
Malki was drafted 37th overall by Montreal Impact in the 2014 MLS SuperDraft.[4]
He signed with USL Pro club Arizona United in 2014 and later with Rio Grande Valley FC in 2016.[5][6]
In 2017, Malki signed with MLS side Houston Dynamo.[7]
