Born in Lebanon in 1969, he earned his Master’s Degree in Architecture from the Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts. (ALBA) His career grew out of the making of the first building material and construction equipment trade fair “Sibatech” at a time when exhibitions were risky and unknown in a country emerging from decades of civil war.
He was a pioneer in a new and growing industry: He laid the groundwork for a business that would quickly and relentlessly be rewarding to all the stakeholders. Backed up with well-acquired architectural knowledge, a strong mind, and an avant-garde vision of change, he was determined to enhance the offered experience. “An eye for detail” granted him a competitive advantage, combining unleashed creativity with simple, comprehensible project delivery.

Early Life & Career

Georges Issa showed early entrepreneurial promise by building and managing the first exhibition venue in Lebanon, Beirut Hall (1996); which morphed into the Beirut International Exhibition and Leisure Center, BIEL in 1999. Shortly after, driven by the impetus to start a business, he set up his own “one-stop shop”. He was keen on raising the local market to a global level.

Before the year 2000, he built and managed the Beirut Hall exhibition complex and Beirut International Exhibition & Leisure Center (BIEL). These venues housed regular exhibitions and shows, offering the best design showcase of projects and products from major local and international companies. His role was primary in generating those shows and exhibitions, in addition to managing existing ones and ensuring successful execution and continuity.[citation needed]


Since 2000, Georges Issa gained experience in the music world organizing concerts for international stars and some of the biggest music festivals in Lebanon and the Arab countries. He thrived in bringing international stars, famous musicals, and world-renowned shows (Cats, Mamma Mia, Notre Dame de Paris, West Side Story, Elton John, Roger Waters from Pink Floyd, Guns & Roses, Phil Collins, Mika, Shakira, Ravi Shankar, Feyrouz, Julia Boutros, Caracalla, Roger Hodgson from Supertramp, Pavarotti, Placido Domingo, Jose Carreras, …). He planned and executed ceremonies like the Miss Europe Beauty Pageant Elections, the 9th Francophone Presidents’ Summit, and the Francophone Games Opening Ceremony.


In 2005, he expanded into the design and execution of exhibition stands and pavilions in the Arab countries, as well as the technical staging and seating supply for the UAE National Day (Abu Dhabi) and Qatar National Day.


2010 presented a diversification of projects with the design and creation of studios for regional TV shows, as well as newsroom sets for major TV stations (LBCI, KSA1 TV…), and producing TV sets and mobile studio stages in the midst of trade fairs, exhibitions, and public events.
Another opportunity for expansion emerged from the organization of the Kohar Stars of Armenia Tour and the role of Technical Management exercised in Armenia, Brazil, Argentina, and Uruguay.


From 2008 to date, Georges supplies prominent local and regional festivals with grandstands, artists’ management, and technical supply in terms of stages, logistical equipment, light, sound, and effects. His motto is to offer a tailor-made solution and a turnkey delivery that maintains the balance between satisfactory execution and the set project budget.


In 2015, he conceived and managed the “13th United Nations Congress on Crime Prevention & Criminal Justice” held in Qatar, as well as the Hamad Port Official Opening Ceremony (2017) and Qatar Motor Show prominent stands from 2015 onwards.
His latest achievement is the build-up of a self-owned venue ballroom that hosts all types of audience events, weddings, and corporate gatherings in Lebanon (O-Ciel Venue).
