The Georgia-Guinea-Bissau relations are the diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Republic of Guinea-Bissau.
Relations[edit]
Although Georgia became independent in 1991 and joined the United Nations in 1992, diplomatic relations were established between the two nations on 9 March 2011.[1]. The two do not share diplomatic missions.
In 2011, Guinea-Bissau joined the countries who voted in favor of the Georgia-sponsored resolution at the United Nations to call for the return of internally displaced persons from Abkhazia and South Ossetia. However, it abstained from doing so every year since 2012[2].
In September 2014, Georgian Foreign Minister Maia Panjikidze met with her counterpart from Guinea-Bissau during the United Nations General Assembly[3].
Visa Relations[edit]
Guinea-Bissau residents need a tourist visa for entry in Georgia. Such a visa can guarantee up to 30 days per entry[4]
