Georgia Love

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Georgia Love (born 1988) is an Australian journalist and television personality.[1][2]

After Love graduated from RMIT University in Melbourne in 2009, she commenced working as a journalist at Prime7 News in Traralgon in Victoria's Gippsland region.[3]

After a brief period working as an associate producer for the Nine Network's A Current Affair, Love moved to Tasmania where she joined WIN Television, initially as a Launceston-based reporter.[3]

Following two years reporting in Launceston, Love relocated to Hobart where she commenced presenting the weekend editions of WIN News Tasmania, before eventually being promoted to anchoring the station's flagship weeknight bulletins.[4]

In 2016, Love resigned from her job as a WIN News presenter after producers of Network Ten's reality show The Bachelorette Australia approached her and asked her to consider being cast as the bachelorette in the second season.[1]

Love accepted the offer and subsequently starred in the show, where she searched for a potential husband from a group of 18 men.[5] Love chose mechanical plumber Lee Elliott as the winner, with Elliott and Love continuing their relationship after the show had concluded.[6][7]

In 2017, Love returned to television reporting when she joined Ten News in Melbourne.[8][9] Love has also become a regular guest panellist on other network programs including The Project and Studio 10.[10]

In 2018, Love publicly criticised her former employer WIN Television after the network decided to close its news studio in Hobart to relocate the production of the local WIN News Tasmania bulletin to New South Wales anchored by Wollongong-based presenters.[11]
