Georgian Tourism Association(GTA) (Georgian: საქართველოს ტურიზმის ასოციაცია, translit.: sakartvelos t'urizmis asotsiatsia) is an association which unites different travel businesses in Georgia(Country), such as Private Tourism Companies, Wine companies and Hotels. The Georgian Tourism Association was founded in 2006, to support, to unite the different tourism businesses in Georgia, and to promote cooperation between private and public sector and tourism sustainability. Creating a tourism information hub for members and non-members as well, to give equal opportunity to all stakeholders. GTAs goal is to help businesses develop better capacity building and quality of service, as well as network and share their experience with other members, so that develop tourism sector in Georgia(Country). GTAs main focus is on incoming, outgoing and domestic tourism products. Georgian Tourism Association (GTA) is membership –based, an independent, non-government, apolitical and non-profit organization

Chainperson of Georgian Tourism Association(GTA) is Natalie Kvachantiradze.[1]

Activity[edit]

In January of 2015 GTA became member of the International Chamber of Commerce(ICC)[2]

In July of 2015 Georgian Tourism Association become member of Welcome to Georgia awards[3]

In September of 2015 GTA become co-founder of the Economic Policy Advocacy Coalition(EPAC)[4]

In August of 2020 GTA launched 3 year project to support Dual TVET in tourism sector.[5]

Memorandum of understand was signed at 1st of September[6]

Georgian Tourism Association was signed of UNWTO Global Code of Ethics for Tourism on 4 April 2017.

In 2019 Georgian Tourism Association became partner of Georgia's Responsible Business Awards Meliora.[16]

In May of 2020 GTA become member of the newly created Georgian Tourism Industry Alliance.[17] [18] [19]

Georgian Tourism Association is awarded "Cluster Management Excellence Label BRONZE - Striving for Cluster Excellence", by the European Secretariat for Cluster Analysis (ESCA).[20] [21]
