Gerald Flor is a Filipino activist, theater actor, writer, and musician. He became publicly known for his photograph during the EDSA Dos or People Power 2 in 2001.
Theater and Arts
Flor is a founding member of the protest art collective Tumbang Preso and the street theater group Tambisan sa Sining. He performed as a member of the Peoples Chorale in the ...stage play Boni@150 commemorating the 150th birth anniversary of Andres Bonifacio. alongside poet-musician Ericson Acosta.[1]
In 2003, he performed in Langaw sa isang Basong Gatas by Amado V. Hernandez, directed by Boni Ilagan at the Folk Arts Theatre.
Music
Flor is also a songwriter and musician. One of his notable songs is "Kung Hindi Ngayon" (2003).[2] He has performed and collaborated with poet-musician Ericson Acosta.[3]
Journalism
Flor served as Patnugot sa Lapat or Layout Editor for the Philippine Collegian, the official student publication of the University of the Philippines Diliman.[4]
Activism
Flor is active in several progressive and patriotic organizations. He is a member of the Concerned Artists of the Philippines (CAP), Tumbang Preso, SINAGBAYAN, and TAMBISAN SA SINING.
