Gerard Cordero (born September 23, 1974) is an American actor. He is known for his roles on the television series Ray Donovan and Gotham (TV series). His other television credits include Luke Cage, person of interest and law and order, while his theatrical credits include the roads not taken and clean (2021 film).

Early Life[edit]

Gerard was born in San Jose California, but raised in Queens, New York, by a single mother, alongside his younger sister, Krystle. He attended rockland community college, where he stumbled upon the Visual and Performing Arts program. It was there that he found a deep love for the arts, in which shaped the trajectory of his lifelong career in entertainment.

Career[edit]

Gerard Cordero is known for his portrayal of 'Big Al' in Season Six of Ray Donovan, where it earned him well-deserved recognition. His talent extends across a range of platforms, including network television series, studio feature films, independent feature films, and short films.

In January 2022, Gerard made a significant impact in the cinematic world with his compelling supporting role in the feature film Clean (2021). Starring alongside esteemed actors Adrien Brody[1] and Glenn Fleshler, Gerard's performance left a lasting impression. Directed by the acclaimed Paul Solet, known for his work on Bullet Head (2017), Clean (2021) made its mark with a theatrical release, solidifying Gerard's presence on the big screen.

Prior to his remarkable role in Clean (2021), Gerard showcased his talent in two other feature films in supporting roles. In The Roads Not Taken (2020), directed by Sally Potter, he shared powerful scenes with the renowned Javier Bardem[2].
