Gerhard de Beer (born July, 5 1994) is an American football offensive tackle for the Green Bay Packers of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Arizona, and was signed by the Buffalo Bills as an undrafted free agent in 2018.
Early life[edit]
De Beer was born and raised in South Africa.[1] He played rugby and discus throw in high school at the Afrikaanse Hoër Seunskool.[1] He moved to America to attend the University of Arizona to play American football.[2] He redshirted his first season, but saw playing time for his final three seasons.[3]
Professional career[edit]
Buffalo Bills[edit]
After going undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft, de Beer signed with the Buffalo Bills on May 11, 2018. He was waived on September 1, 2018.[4]
Green Bay Packers[edit]
On November 27, 2018 de Beer was signed to the Green Bay Packers practice squad. On December 31, 2018 he was signed to the active roster.[4]
