Career[edit]
The Black Angels[edit]
Born in the town of San Carlos, Ñuble , De la Fuente showed his qualities as a singer from a young age. He actively participated in the choir at his school, the Consolidated School, and became a regular at different festivals during his school days. Already in adolescence he gained experience as a singer in his father's establishment, Óscar de la Fuente, where he took his first steps in music. There he learned to play the accordion and the guitar . From that time he was already coining that tenor stamp that over time made him famous.
At the age of 20 and while he was part of a band called Los Monarcas, Germaín's luck changed forever. Another musical group, Los Ángeles Negros , was looking to participate in a contest on Radio La Discusión , but there was a problem: they did not have a singer. [ 1 ] After seeing him sing live, the band members invited De la Fuente to be part of them. [ 1 ] They finally won the contest and together they recorded their first LP in March 1969, which catapulted them to fame.
After six years in the group, and after the success of the band on the Latin American scene, the singer left the group to begin his career as a soloist, being replaced by the Mexican singer Ismael Montes .
Solo career[edit]
At the end of 1974 in Mexico he released some albums under the name Germaín: El Ángel Negro and later founded a group called "Germaín Y Sus Ángeles Negros". Rey, among other songs, with which he toured Mexico for 20 years, where in addition to singing live, he released more than a dozen albums such as "Me Llama tú" , "El Romántico De América" "El Disco De Oro" "Paloma Querida", "Qué De Raro?", among others, the latter was recorded in 1996 as a duet with the Peruvian bolerista Lucho Barrios .

With his company she released karaoke albums , his own works, among others. In 2003 he collaborated with the funk band Los Tetas , who covered the classic "Como Quiero dicerte". That same year he shared live shows with bands like Los Pettinellis and Los Bunkers .
