The German occupation of Moresnet was a German occupation that occurred during the First World War.
Occupation
The 6th Army occupied Moresnet within half an hour, on 4 August 1914.[1] In total, 147 Moresnet residents died from war-related causes.
Aftermath
According to the Treaty of Versailles of 1919, in Articles 32 and 33, Germany renounced its claims to this territory and it became part of Belgium.[2]
