German missions to the Moon
Missions to the Moon, with German involvement, have occurred throughout the history of spaceflight.
History[edit]
With much notorious and prominent German involvement after World War II, the Apollo programme landed two men on the Moon in July 1969.[1]
In July 2009 the German government minister Peter Hintze declared that Germany should conduct a mission to the Moon by 2015.[2]
The Planetary Transportation Systems group (PTS) was founded in 2010, with intentions of Moon missions.
Missions[edit]
- The ALINA robotic probe, developed in Germany, is planned to land on the Moon.
