Getsafe is a German Insurtech startup based in Heidelberg, which was founded in 2015 by Christian Wiens and Marius Blaesing. With an app, customers can buy, change and report a claim in real time via smartphone. The company does not have its own BaFin licence, but cooperates with reinsurers such as Munich Re.[1][2][3][4][5][6][7][8]

Getsafe has announced a series-a-funding of $17 million in June 2019. Popular investors in Getsafe include Earlybird Venture, CommerzVentures, BtoV and Partech & Acton Capital.[1][2][3][4]
