Gettoblaster[edit]
Paul Anthony and Zach Bletz, known professionally as Gettoblaster, are two house and techno producers from Chicago (Zach) and Detroit (Paul). Chicago is known for starting the house movement[1] while Detroit pioneered the techno scene during the late 1980s[2]. Gettoblaster's music reflects both artists respective birthplaces and draws stylistically from both genres. They have collaborated with well-established artists such as Bad Boy Bill, Steve "Silk" Hurley, DJ Funk, Roland Clark, and Chip E.[3]
History[edit]
Gettoblaster formed in 2014, releasing their debut LP We Jack. the same year. In 2015 the duo launched their own record label, We Jack., which has since featured prominent house artists like Bad Boy Bill and DJ Deeon[4]. The year also marked the release of their second LP, Diamonds & Palm Trees. In 2017 Gettoblaster toured Europe[5], making stops in London, Paris and more. They toured across the United States in 2018 and released their latest record, Get Dat, on Dirtybird Records in 2019.
