Gianfranco Barone (born April 23,1998) is an American professional soccer player who plays as a goalkeeper for Enkopings SK FK in Sweden.

Club Career[edit][edit]
Born in Howard Beach, Queens, Barone spent his early career with Metropolitan Oval Academy. Throughout his youth spent time training in Italy with AS Roma, ACF Fiorentina[1] and Empoli F.C. youth academies as well as training with the New York Cosmos and New York Cosmos B. He was a 4 star recruit out of high school according to Top Drawer Soccer.[2]In July 2018, Barone signed with F.A. Euro of USL League Two.
On June 2, 2019, Barone signed a professional contract with the Milwaukee Torrent.[3] Barone went on to make 8 appearances for the club.
In 2020, Barone signed with the New York Cosmos[4] in National Independent Soccer Association. He went on to make 1 appearance for the club.
In 2021 after the New York Cosmos went on hiatus Barone signed with New Jersey Teamsterz for their fall season and made 7 appearances for the club.
On April 19, 2022, Barone signed with Enkopings SK FK[5] in Sweden. He made his league debut on May 7,2022 against Gamla Uppsala SK.
International career[edit][edit]
Born in the United States to Italian parents, Barone holds U.S. and Italian citizenship. In July 2014, Barone received a call up to the United States U-14 Boys National Team Camp in Carson, California.[6]

Gianfranco Barone has an older brother Giuseppe Barone, who is also a professional soccer player.
