Gilbert Kennedy Asmah
Gilbert Ken Asmah ( 24th October 1972) is a Ghanaian politician and the formal Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of Tarkwa Nsuaem Municipal Assembly.[1][2]
Career and Politics[edit]
Before his appointment as MCE, he was the CEO of One Moon Ltd, the District Manager of FEDCO Tarkwa District and the Constituency Chairman of NPP- Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency. He holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA-Gen) from the University of Leicester, UK and a Chartered Postgraduate Diploma in Marketing (CIM UK) at the University of Professional Studies, Accra.(UPSA).[citation needed]
Asmah was the Constituency Chairman of NPP, Tarkwa-Nsuaem Constituency before his appointment as the Municipal Chief Executive in May 2017. [2][3]
Prior to been appointed Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) by H.E. Nana Akuffo-Addo in 2017.[1] Gilbert was the CEO of One Moon Ltd, the District Manager of FEDCO, Tarkwa and was also the Constituency Chairman of NPP - Tarkwa Nsuaem Constituency.
Controversies and allegations[edit]
On May, 13th 2020, Gilbert appointment was revoked by the President, H.E. Nana Akuffo Addo following an allegation that he was working with the main opposition NDC party to unseat the Member of Parliament, George Mireku Duker.[4]
