Gilles De Schryver (December 12 1984) is a Belgian film, television and theater actor, -writer and producer.
Biography[edit]
Gilles De Schryver graduated as a master in drama from the Hogeschool Gent Conservatorium in 2009.
De Schryver started on the stage where he quickly became artistic director of the theater company 'het KIP', for which he played, wrote and directed.[1] In the productions of the KIP he could be seen within and outside of Europe in Dutch, English and French.[2] After the dissolution of het KIP in 2017, De Schryver returned to being a freelance performer.
De Schryver is bilingual (Dutch and French). He played in French productions for the Théâtre National and the Koninklijke Muntschouwburg.
De Schryver has focused film and television since 2016, when he started writing and producing for his production company De Wereldvrede, which he runs with director Gilles Coulier.[3] He produced the cult series Bevergem, the film Cargo, the television series Albatros and War of the Worlds, and many more.
De Schryver is primarily known as an actor to the general audience for the television series Code 37, the feature film Come as You Are (2011 film), and the Irish-Belgian television series Hidden Assets.
