Gillian Sherratt
Gillian Sherratt is an Irish disability rights advocate. She is the mother of three children.
Her son died as a child. He experienced prolonged delays in accessing scoliosis surgery within Children’s Health Ireland (CHI). Gillian has stated publicly that he was removed from a CHI surgical waiting list without the knowledge or consent of his parents; this issue was subsequently raised with then Minister for Health Simon Harris on the floor of Dáil Éireann.
Her daughter is living with a congenital heart defect and is a patient of the CHI paediatric cardiac service at Crumlin Hospital.
