Gillian Sherratt
Gillian Sherratt is an Irish disability rights advocate. She is the mother of 3 children.
Her son died as a child. He experienced prolonged delays in accessing scoliosis surgery within Children’s Health Ireland (CHI). Gillian has stated publicly that he was removed from a CHI surgical waiting list without the knowledge or consent of his parents, this issue was subsequently raised with then Minister for Health Simon Harris on the floor of Dáil Éireann.
Her daughter is living with a congenital heart defect and is a patient of the CHI paediatric cardiac service at Crumlin Hospital.
