Gillon Stephenson

Gillon Stephenson has had a varied career, including advertising copywriter in London, then copywriter in the Entertainment Advertising Industry in Los Angeles, writing countless campaigns for most of the major studios and advertising agencies in Hollywood. Following this, he became a voice actor and voiced characters in several video games, as well as becoming the first network voice of FX UK when it was launched. He was also a network voice for the Speed Channel voicing promos for Formula 1 races around the world. He has also written a number of screen adaptations, focusing on the works of his mother, Lynne Reid Banks. He now collaborates with his mother on a full-time basis. He returned to London in 2012 and lives in Cheltenham.

Stephenson was born in Haifa, Israel, and spent the first four years of his life on a kibbutz. He emigrated with his family to England at the age of four. He attended Chiswick Comprehensive and then went to Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith, West London. He studied photography in Twickenham , and then advertising at Hounslow College. He spent 18 years in Los Angeles.
