Princess Giovanna, Countess of Marin (born Baroness Giovanna Maddalena Elena Camillo; 2 March 1944) is an Italian aristocrat, Sovereign Princess consort of the House of Marin, as the wife of Umberto I.
Early life[edit]
The Countess of Marin was born as Baroness Giovanna Camillo on 2 March 1945 in Venice, Italy. She is the fourth of five children of Baron Giovanni Camillo and his wife Margherita, Countess of Marana.
Marriage and issue[edit]
She is married to Prince Umberto, 15th Count of Marin since 4 June 1966. The couple have two children:
- Prince Luca Carlo Edoardo Marin, Marquess of Lesina (born 4 July 1967), married to Angela Bragato since 1 June 1996. They have two daughters:
- Princess Giorgia Isabella Sofia Marin of Lesina (born 8 April 1998)
- Princess Maddalena Eleonora Anna Marin of Lesina (born 10 July 2003)
- Princess Alessandra Sofia Vittoria Caterina Marin of Lesina (born 19 March 1972), married to Denis Lunardelli since 30 September 2006. They have two children:
- Nicolò Filippo Umberto Lunardelli Marin (born 27 January 2008)
- Tommaso Enrico Luca Lunardelli Marin (born 10 February 2014)
