History

In 2013 the band released its debut album Distance Changes Everything. The album was launched with a release show at the Yuyintang livehouse in Shanghai.[2]
The band's lineup changed over time. Adam Poole later left the group and was replaced by Dave Hampson, while Zack joined on bass, allowing Kevin Wright to focus primarily on vocals. Other musicians including Luke Jones and Gary Wright of Lines From A Poem also performed with the band on occasion.
In 2018, Girls Like Mystery played their final show of their original Shanghai era at Yuyintang before Kevin Wright relocated to Singapore.
Following a brief hiatus, the band was reformed in Singapore in 2020 with a new lineup consisting of Kevin Wright (vocals), Blake Stetson (guitar), Scott Smith (bass), Jack Magner (keyboards), and Erik Richardson (drums).[3]
Girls Like Mystery released the album Sitting in a Room Surrounded by Strangers in 2021. The album included the single "Another You & Me Song", which was featured in Time Out Singapore's roundup of new local music releases.[4]

Consisting of Kevin Wright (vocals), Blake Stetson (guitar & producer), Gary Dean (bass), David Meadows (keys & guitar), and Putera (drums).
