Gitta Amelia (born in Jakarta, Indonesia, 22 June 1995)[citation needed] is a businesswoman and entrepreneur. She is known as the CEO and Founder of Filmore, the parent company of Filmore Pharma and Filmore Medical..[1] [2] [3]
In 2019, she was recognized as Forbes 30 Under 30 in Indonesia for her work in Venture Capital, and contributing to the development of the seed stage startup industry in Indonesia through her firm, Everhaus.[4][not in citation given] She was later recognized by Forbes 30 Under 30 in Asia that same year[5]. Gitta has also been recognized by Prestige magazine as one of their 40 under 40 awardees in 2021 [6]. She is known to be a prominent figure behind the initiation of multiple ventures in Indonesia including HaiBolu, which was exited to Bukalapak in 2021, Trukita, which was exited to WareSix in 2018 [7], Bobobox [8] and Eden Farm[9]. She is also the Co-Founder of Secondate Beauty, a beauty brand she started with her childhood friend Titan Tyra in 2020[10]. Secondate Beauty is known for their guerrilla marketing techniques that the brand used to sell out tens of thousands of products upon launch[11].
In 2022, Gitta founded Filmore, a Women’s Healthcare company that provides women’s health products and medical services through its medical centers and clinics
Early Life
Gitta Amelia was born to parents of Chinese descent in Jakarta, Indonesia. She has two younger brothers, Juan and Joel. Gitta attended the Jakarta Intercultural High School where she received an International Baccalaureate diploma. She continued her education at The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania where she received her Bachelor of Science in Economics with a concentration in Finance in 2017[12][13].
Filmore
In 2021, Gitta started a discord community called Filmore Rebels to help women discuss health topics that were commonly taboos and give women access to Doctors as a community outreach program during the pandemic[14][15][16]. In 2022, she founded Filmore Pharma, a company focused on developing solution-oriented products in the intimate and gynecological health sector[17][18][19]. In 2024, the company expanded into clinical services with the launch of Filmore Medical, a chain of women’s health clinics providing obstetrics, gynecology, clinical nutrition, mental health, and pediatric care [20]
