Giulia Bassani (Turin, January 1, 1999), is an Italian novelist, aerospace engineering student, national coordinator for the Moon Village Association, TEDx speaker and aspiring astronaut.
Early life
In 2016, Bassani won the international semi-finals of the Odysseus II Space Contest, funded by European Union's Horizon 2020 program for research and innovation, with the scientific project of a base on planet Mars.[1]
She wrote and published her first novel Ad Martem 12, in Italian and English in 2018.[2]
Bassani graduated from high school in June 2017 and enrolled at the Polytechnic of Turin in October of the same year to study aerospace engineering.[3]
After an experience of two years as Italian vice national coordinator for the World Space Week Association, in 2020 she was nominated national coordinator for the Moon Village Association in Italy, to foster the future human space missions to the Moon. In the same year she published her second novel, Kalopsia.
