Giulia Rozzi is an American stand-up comedian and writer.

Early life[edit]

Giulia Rozzi was born in Belmont, MA, where she attended Belmont High School.[1] Both of Giulia's parents are Italian immigrants making her a first generation American, something she references often in her comedy. [2] She is a graduate of Ithaca College [3]

Stand up comedy[edit]

In 2019 Giulia made her late night debut on Conan.[4] She got her start at The World Famous Comedy Store in Los Angeles where she was made a paid regular by Mitzi Shore.[5] Her first full-length comedy album True Love was named one of SiriusXM's best of 2016 [6] and Paste Magazine described her as "the smart friend everyone needs in their lives. An intelligent, perceptive mind that’s almost painfully aware of the foibles bound up in modern day living, Rozzi spins that awareness into an amusing perspective." [7]

She is also known for her solo show Bad Bride[8] about the pressure to get married and the long-running sex themed storytelling show Stripped Stories she co-hosted with Margot Leitman. [9]

In 2014 Giulia gave a TED talk at TEDx Cape May titled Healing Loneliness With Laughter.[10]

Television[edit]

Giulia has appeared[11] as herself on Comedy Central’s Lights Out With David Spade and This Is Not Happening, E’s Chelsea Lately, TruTV's Laff Tracks and as a frequent talking head on Vh1. She has also acted in various projects including her own web series Seeing Other People which she created with comedian Brooke Van Poppelen. [12]

Writing[edit]

Giulia has written[13] for the TV shows Silent Library and Girl Code. She has also penned pieces for the New Yorker, [14] Refinery29[15] and Esquire. [16] In 2016 she went viral for her blog highlighting hairstyles from the Netflix series series Making A Murderer. [17]

Podcasting[edit]

Giulia hosts the mental health and comedy podcast Should I Get Bangs which frequently features her sister Elena, a licensed therapist. [18] Previously she co-hosted the relationship podcast Hopefully We Don't Break Up [19] with her husband, comedian Will Miles.
