Giuseppe Bavuso (born in January 1959), is an award-winning architect, industrial designer and creative director who lives and works in Milan, Italy.[1]
Early Life[edit]
His career started in 1986, when he founded the design firm Bavuso Design, where he tackled different scales of design: from interiors to automotive, to train interiors and bio-medical equipment. Since then he dedicated his practice to industrial design, interior design, product engineering, art direction, architecture and visual communication.[2]
Bavuso has always had a passion for art and design since he was a child, and practiced in the creative field from a young age. A turning point in his life was his encounter with Italian artist and designer Bruno Munari, which he often described as very enlightening and extremely inspiring for his career.[3] This experience is eventually what forged his approach to design, also based on innovation and experimentations.[4]
Design Approach[edit]
Giuseppe Bavuso advocates for a design that improves the quality of living, yet always sensible towards the environment and its resources.[5] His projects are characterised by clean rigorous lines, inspired by the minimalistic Japanese tradition.[6][7]
