Founded in July of 2017, American independent record label Give/Take is a boutique label specializing in auteur-driven, experimental projects with an electronic approach[1], owned and operated by independent artists Joshua Lexvold (of KPT, DEATHDANCE and formerly 301Studios)[2] and Augustus Watkins (of Bijou Noir, DEATHDANCE, Tulip Tiger and co-host of the Tied To The Tracks podcast).[3]

Along with digital distribution, Give/Take has a focus on limited-edition physical releases (Cassette, CD, vinyl and even MiniDisc), each containing a certificate of authenticity and download code.

The label has worked with numerous notable artists[4][5][6][7][8], engineers[9], labels (Communiqué Records[10], Invisible Records[11]), producers (Darren Jones: Major Lazer, Skepta, Stormzy[12][13]), studios (Abbey Road Studios[14] and has had charting releases internationally (see Discography section below).

While their releases span Electronic music sub-genres from artists worldwide, the label's repertoire leans towards the darker end of the sub-genre spectrum (Industrial music, Dark wave, Gothic rock, etc.), including an unabashed adoption of the Deathpop genre[15][16] with a fair amount of its roster present in both the midwest and Los Angeles areas.

The label was also among the first to begin a live streaming series featuring its artist's performances during the COVID-19 pandemic in early 2020.[17]
