Glenhead standing stones

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Glenhead Standing Stones This article is about the standing stones at Glenhead farm, roughly midway between Doune and Dunblane. There are two sets, one solitary standing stone, and the other, remains of a stone circle with three remaining stones still standing.

Solitary Stone[edit]

Beside and due east of Glenhead Farm, and not far from the group of stones mentioned below, there is a fine solitary stone which is a large flat slab embedded on its edge. This stone must have been erected into its present position for the chances of it having happened to land that way, even from melting ice, are to small to be considered seriously.[1]
