Glenn Nelson

Glenn Nelson, based in Seattle, is the founder of The Trail Posse, a founding member of the Next 100 Coalition, and recipient of national awards for his writing, reporting, photography, and publishing.

Nelson was born in Japan. He graduated from Seattle University and Columbia University. Nelson started his career in media at The Seattle Times. Nelson's work with the Trail Posse regularly covers race, diversity, and inclusion in the outdoors.[1] The site works to promote the outdoors' importance for mental and physical health, along with working to ensure public lands access.[2] As a member of the Next 100 Coalition, he helped found a national alliance of organizations of color advocating for equal access to public lands.[1]
