Global Engineering Identification Number

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Global Engineering Identification Number, abbreviated as GEIN or G-E-I-N is a unique number in which companies and universities can use in order to validate a persons information. While there is a lot of document forging and the use of fake documents in order to get a job or get accepted in a university, the GEIN number will validate the individuals information and identify if there are any forged or fake documents. Having this unique number eases the process for Human Resources to validate ones credentials in a few clicks. Unlike the DUNS number which is for businesses, the GEIN is only issued to individuals.

The first way of obtaining a GEIN is to find an online organization or business that will ask for your information, validate it and then send you your GEIN, this process would typically take 24 - 48 hours (1 - 2 business days). The other way is to contact your university and ask for this number which would typically take about 30 - 45 business days.
