Global Music Awards

The Global Music Awards are an award given annually to independent musicians. The awards began 2011 and have become a well-known and respected top-tier international music competition.[1] The purpose of the awards is to provide an avenue to legitimacy for unsigned artists seeking publicity and representation. The awards receive hundreds of entires each year from all around the world. The awards are based on quality alone, not on sales or fanbase. Different winners receive different prizes. Foremost among the potential prizes is a feature in Billboard Magazine.[2] The program also includes the Odyssey Lifetime Achievement in Music Award, which was granted to Alan Williams in 2017.[3] The judges for the competition include Darlene Koldenhoven, Ricky Kej, John Daversa, Amanda Abizad, Malek Jandali and Dorothy Hindman.[4]
