Gloria Rand (née Rabinowitz)[1] is a Canadian actress.[2] She was the first wife of William Shatner.[3] They had three children together: Leslie Carol, born on August 31, 1958; Lisabeth Mary, born on June 12, 1960; and Melanie Ann, born on August 1, 1964.[4] Rand and Shatner married on August 12, 1956.[5] Their honeymoon was in Scotland.[6] The marriage lasted ten years.[7] Shatner left Rand while he was acting in Star Trek: The Original Series, after which she filed for divorce.[8] The divorce was finalized in 1969.[9] Subsequent to the divorce, Shatner remarried three times, marrying in succession Marcy Lafferty, Nerine Kidd, and Elizabeth Martin.[10]
