GoFindFriends is a social networking website based in New York City. The website connects people looking to make new friends in real life based on common interests. It is an "online friending" site that works similar to OKCupid and Match.com, but is strictly for platonic relationships.[1]

Company[edit]

GoFindFriends was founded in October 2014 by John Boese and Peter DiBari. The company received initial funding through a pre-accelerator program run by General Assembly and 500 Startups.[2]

Product[edit]

GoFindFriends is a website and mobile app where people looking for new friends suggest activity ideas by finishing the phrase "Let's go...". Other users respond to the activity idea if they are interested in joining. There is an algorithm that gives the percentage match for each user based on answers to questions about likes and dislikes.[3]

The service is available to people ages 20 to 29 who live in the New York City area, but there are plans to expand to other age ranges.[4]
