The launch of the Wireless 2.4G X Control System allows Godox to dominate the flash market in the photography industry, as Godox releases a wide range of flash products targeting different market segment at an affordable price level with good build quality. Godox has created triggers for the majority of the camera brands, like Canon, Nikon, Sony, Fujifilm, Pentax, Panasonic, Olympus and Leica. Using these triggers allow the user to gain access and use Godox's modern flashes without needing to buy an external receiver, as all of the modern flashes has built-in receiver. Godox's modern on-camera flashes also do come with a bult-in transmitter to use as a trigger.

Godox's most notable innovation is the AD200, which allows photographers to carry a 200Ws flash in a compact portable form factor with interchangeable heads, powered by a lithium-ion battery.[2] Due to its success and popularity, YongNuo has followed up to launch its equivalent, the YN200 sans the bulb head attachment.[3] Previously, flashes that are 180Ws and above are bulky and cumbersome to bring around for photoshoots, as they require an external power source connected to the flash.[4]

In some countries, Godox is also known by other brands for the purpose of limiting warranty service to locally purchased units only.

Portable Flashes

All TT-series and V-series flashes that have built-in Wireless 2.4GHz X Control System are capable of acting as Master to control other Wireless 2.4GHz X Control System capable flashes. For slaves to support HSS, the master triggers must also be able to receive HSS signals from the camera. For any and including all 3rd-party flashes not having any Wireless 2.4GHz X Control System support, Wireless 2.4GHz X Control System support can be achieved by using the Godox's X1R Receiver or Adorama's Flashpoint R2 Single Pin Transceiver by mounting on the hotshoe or connecting via sync cable.[5]
