Godwin Ubaka Okeke, born 6 June 1949, is a Nigerian businessman from Adazi-Ani Anambra State.[1] He is the Chairman, Board of Directors of G. U. Okeke Transport Services Company Limited and G.U.O. & SONS LTD.[2]

Early Life

Godwin was born in Adazi-Ani and raised in Onitsha, where he finished his schooling at Central School in Onitsha in 1955. He attended his secondary education at Community Grammar School, Nnobi.[3]

Career

Godwin started his business career after the Civil War, ignited by vehicle scarcity to and fro Enugu and Onitsha. He saw opportunity in transporting passengers from Onitsha to Adazi-Ani. Having gone on several trips using his parents' Peugeot saloon car, he continued transporting passengers daily, and this elevated his interest in the transportation business. He is the founder of G.U.O. Transport Company Ltd, founded in 1980.[3][4][5]

Personal Life

He married Patricia Obiageli Okeke of Umuru, Adazi-Ani. The marriage is blessed with six boys.[6]
