Gokul Rajaram is an Internet entrepreneur and Investor.[1] He is a member of the Board of Directors of Pinterest and The Trade Desk.[2][3]

Education[edit]

Gokul studied for a Bachelor of Technology degree in Computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur. He later went on to receive a M.S. in Computer Science from The University of Texas at Austin and an M.B.A. from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Sloan School of Management.[2]

Career[edit]

Gokul joined Google in 2003, at Google Gokul was the Product Management Director for Google AdSense.[4][5][6]

In 2008 he went on to co-found a company named Chia Labs,[7] where he served as the Chief Executive Officer until its acquisition by Facebook in 2010.[8] At Facebook he served as the Product Director for Ads.[1]

In 2013 Gokul left Facebook in order to join Square,[4][9] where he was later appointed as the head of its Caviar food delivery division.[10] Caviar was later acquired by DoorDash in 2019 for $410 million, where he continues to serve as Caviar Lead.[11][12][13]

Gokul is an independent Director of public companies The Trade Desk and Pinterest.[14] He was previously an independent Director at Associated Content,[15] before its acquisition by Yahoo in May 2010 and a Director at public company RetailMeNot before its acquisition by Harland Clarke in May 2017.[2][16]

Gokul is an angel investor in startup companies and also a Partner at the Venture Capital firm Firebolt Ventures.[17][18][19][20][21]
