The Golden Nixa (Bulgarian: Златна никса) is a prize which is given each year by the Community Games Book. It is awarded to the best Gamebook published in Bulgaria last year. No cash prize is awarded. The statuette is a fantastic animal feathering and standing on a pedestal on which the name of the winning work and the year is written.
Description
The Nixa is a fantastic animal that appeared for the first time in the book "Finding a Dragon" by Spassimir Ignatov, part of the collection "Calling Hero".[1]
Nixa - a small, two-wheeled mammal like the short-tailed mammals, makes small whites leading to big trouble. She has a short thick coat. His skin is often made of cloaks, gloves and socks.
In the year of the release of the work, it became so popular that it was based on the prize for book-games; besides that, the image of the animal was accepted as the logo of the BOOKS-GAMES Association, which deals with the genre book- game.
The author of the illustrations of "Finding a Dragon" and the creator of the image of the Nixa is Georgi-Tangra[2]
The prize is made of ecological materials: the statuette of cloth wool, and the pen is natural. It is covered with golden bronze. The model is made on the illustrations of the book "Find a Dragon" painted by TANGRA.
Colorful Nixa is a derivative prize for artists and illustrators in the genre book-play.
Nomination
All the works published in Bulgarian for which the "Community of Gamebooks" find themselves in the category are nominated for the prize.
The editions of Fujit Publishing House (Bulgarian: Фют) are not nominated due to their unclear character - whether they are in fact book-games or educational tests.
In 2017 the nominations do not include the "new Sonora" - because it is not "new" and "The Tiger's Way 2: Killer!" - because it is a fan edition with prints printed on preliminary queries.
Serving
The prize is traditionally given at the summer festival "Talasmia", dedicated to the fantastic and fabulous Bulgarian mythology. It is held annually since 2002 in Stara Zagora Baths.
