Googan Squad

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Googan Squad is an American fishing-focused YouTube group formed in 2016. The group consists of fishing content creators who collaborate on online video content centered on bass fishing, outdoor recreation, and fishing challenges. The Googan Squad gained prominence through its YouTube presence and later expanded into branded fishing tackle products marketed under the Googan Squad and Googan Baits names.[1]

The group’s activities and branded products have been covered by independent outdoor and fishing-industry publications, including Fishing Tackle Retailer and Wide Open Spaces.[2]

History

The Googan Squad was formed in 2016 by a group of fishing YouTubers who collaborated on shared video projects and appearances across their individual channels. Early in the group’s development, members participated in sponsorship arrangements with Mystery Tackle Box, a fishing tackle subscription service operated by Catch Co.[3]

Beginning in 2017 and 2018, the group expanded beyond video content into branded fishing tackle with the launch of Googan Baits, starting with soft plastic lures. Additional product categories were later introduced, including hard baits in 2019 and fishing rods in 2020, developed in collaboration with Catch Co.[4]
