Goulashprogrammingnight (in short term GPN) is Conference for Computer Specialist and Hacker with over 1000 Participants. With that it is the second largest Event of the Chaos Computer Club, right after the Chaos Communication Congress. The Event is hosted by the Entropia e.V., which is part of the CCC in Karlsruhe. The wide-ranging program includes presentations, discussion panels and workshops on topics such as hardware and software development, IT security.[1], open source and free software, as well as data protection and the information society. In the year 2022 around 2000 people visited the event[2].

During the Event[edit]

During the time of four days, the GPN is constantly accessible and can be entered for free. In the meantime of the visit, a visitor can either watch presentations in separate rooms, exchange new found knowledge, work on their own projects or help to realize the Event. In the meantime there is an open {{Internet|internet]] connection for everyone on the whole area and a usable DECT Network, that every visitor can use, after a registration. Some of the presentations will be recorded[3]. If the visitor wants to take photos, he is allowed to do so, but has to get the permission of every person on the photo. Also he is not allowed to photograph monitors or screens, because of privacy reasons[4]
