Government Engineering College Raichur is an engineering college in Raichur[1] which is located in rural parts of Raichur (Yaramaras camp). It is one of three engineering colleges in Raichur and the only Government engineering college.[2]

History

The college was established by the Department of Technical Education (DTE) in the year 2007. The college was previously located at Yaramaras outskirts and was shifted to its current location in 2019.

Admission

The intake procedure for the college is through the KCET exam conducted by KEA (Karnataka Examination Authority). The intake is 60 students for each course for the four courses offered.

The college has a library with relevant study materials and books for the courses offered, and there are departmental libraries for each branch.

Lab facilities

Labs required per curriculum are available, but they are old and need furnishing.
