Govilon AFC

Govilon AFC had a history spanning over 100 years. They won the Gwent Central League in 2000/01, 2001/02[1] and 2006/07.[2]
They also played in the Gwent County League from 2002 to 2004 and again from 2007, where by 2009-10 (after back-to-back Division Two and Three titles) they would reach Division One. In 2014 the club was taken over by Abergavenny Town.
Govilon played at the King George V Playing Fields in the village. Though there is no team in Govilon today the pitch is still used, by Forgeside AFC.
