Grafa is a finance media technology company that converts financial data about stocks, cryptocurrencies, foreign exchange and economies into rich media content. Launched in Australia in 2020, the platform is available for download on the [App Store] and [Google Play].[1]
The company licences data from the Australian Securities Exchange, NYSE, Nasdaq and Coinmarketcap, among others.
Grafa operates under a freemium model, with an upgraded paid subscription for comprehensive market screening tools about market sensitive information in real-time.
The Grafa platform extensively uses artificial intelligence to personalise financial news and data to the user as well as AI video presenters for live market reports.[2][3]
History
Grafa was founded in Perth, Australia by 40under40 alumni[4] and former Bloomberg reporter Heidi Cuthbert, née Couch.[5]
In March 2023, The West Australian partnered with Grafa to create an online finance video series called Trading Up.[6]
The online stock market show was aired on Seven West Media’s digital properties including The West Australian Online[7] as well as social media channels.
In March 2024, Grafa partnered with NASDAQ-listed UP Fintech in a partnership which saw Grafa’s AI-powered newsfeed integrated into the Tiger Trade brokerage app.[8][9]
Grafa's data is regularly referenced by other news publishers,[10] and founder Heidi Cuthbert is often quoted as a financial commentator in business and financial publications such as Forbes.[11]
Awards
Grafa won an A'Design bronze award for app design in 2021.[12]
The company was also a finalist in Australia’s INCITE tech awards in 2021.[13]
Grafa founder Heidi Cuthbert was a finalist in the Entrepreneur of the Year category in the Women in Finance Awards in 2022.[14]
