The Grand Chicken is a chicken sandwich sold by Arabian franchises of McDonald's primarily in the Middle East, but can also be found in other regions. The sandwich consists of a toasted wheat bun dusted with cornmeal, a slice of cheese, a breaded chicken breast meat patty, lettuce, and garlic mayo sauce.
History
The Grand Chicken was first introduced in 2010 as a limited time offer. Early versions of the sandwich had a sesame seed topped bun, tomatoes, Emmental cheese and mayo-mustard sauce. Due to high demand, the sandwich was reformulated and relaunched in May 2011, now with three varieties - Spicy, Original and Deluxe.[1] As of 2014, the Grand Chicken was made available in certain locations outside of the Middle East.
