Grand Sultans Of Excess

The Grand Sultans of Excess are one of the oldest and most well known Mardi Gras krewes that participate in the annual St. Louis Soulard Mardi Gras Parade. Starting in 1993, each year they honor one of their own krewe members with the title of The Grand Sultan, who sits in a thrown on the parade float. They have also one awards for best costumes.

Each year a theme is chosen for the St. Louis Soulard Mardi Gras Parade. Then, a subtheme is voted upon within the krewe.
