Granit Ademi, born 25 July 1996 in Karlskrona, Sweden, is a Swedish football player with Albanian origin from Kosovo.
Career
Ademi started playing football for Stafsinge IF when he was 6 years old; he played there until he was 15, until 2011. In 2011, Ademi had a successful trial training with Falkenbergs FF, where he played for five years. At the same time as playing for Falkenbergs FF, he participated in the Nike Academy competition in the Netherlands in 2013, where hundreds of young Swedish football players applied, but only five were selected. Ademi participated and did his best, but did not progress further. He did not give up, so a year later he applied to the competition again. As before, he was one of five Swedish football players selected to continue in the competition in the Netherlands. This time he performed better, which proved useful a few days later when he advanced in the Nike Academy competition. The next competition was in England. Granit, along with four other football players from different European countries, went to England in 2014 where they had several trial matches with the Nike Academy's official team; only one of the five players progressed further. It was not Granit Ademi. Ademi remained strong and did not lose hope; in early 2015, he signed a contract with Europe Sports Management Denmark ApS. In autumn 2015, Granit had a trial training session with FC Helsingør, where he trained with the U19/U21 team. He also had trial training sessions with Ullareds IKs first team and Rinia IF at the end of 2015. Today, Granit plays for Stafsinge IF's first and second teams, as he has a two-year contract with them.
